Challenge
Underbuilt Marketing Function: NetVendor was a growing B2B SaaS company with marketing essentially operating as a team of one, limiting the function’s ability to support demand generation, product marketing, events, partnerships, and sales enablement at scale.
Disconnected GTM Infrastructure: Marketing activity existed across the website, paid media, events, and content, but there was no unified operating model connecting those programs to lead management, account strategy, attribution, and pipeline performance.
Limited Revenue Visibility: Reporting was not yet mature enough to consistently show marketing’s contribution to pipeline, closed-won revenue, or channel effectiveness, making investment and prioritization decisions harder to defend.
Fragmented Market Positioning: NetVendor’s value proposition spanned compliance, maintenance, sourcing, bidding, contracts, and vendor management, but the story was not yet unified into a clear category position that could scale across Sales, Product, campaigns, and executive communications.
Scaling Without Added Complexity: As the company expanded across multifamily and commercial real estate, marketing needed to grow without becoming dependent on more manual processes, disconnected knowledge, or one-off execution.
Results
Accelerated Marketing-Sourced Pipeline Growth: Marketing-sourced pipeline reached $8.74M in 2026 YTD, already 104% above the full-year 2025 total of $4.28M and more than double the $3.92M generated in 2024.
Increased Marketing-Sourced Revenue: Marketing-sourced closed-won revenue increased 157%, demonstrating that stronger demand generation translated into realized revenue, not just pipeline creation.
Expanded Marketing’s Share of Pipeline: Marketing’s contribution to total company pipeline increased from 20% to 44%, establishing marketing as a significantly larger driver of new business.
Increased Marketing’s Share of Closed-Won Revenue: Marketing’s share of total closed-won revenue grew from 13% to 32%, reflecting greater contribution throughout the revenue cycle.
Established Revenue Accountability: Built the attribution, funnel reporting, and executive reporting infrastructure used to connect marketing investment to pipeline, revenue, and channel performance, giving leadership greater visibility into where to invest and scale.

Process
Built the Marketing Operating Model
Scaled marketing from a team of one into a specialized function spanning growth, content, product marketing, events, partnerships, and digital.
Defined ownership, planning rhythms, agency support, and cross-functional workflows to reduce dependency on one-off execution.
Shifted the function from channel-by-channel activity to a revenue-oriented operating model tied to company priorities, pipeline, and measurable business outcomes.
Repositioned the Category
Shifted NetVendor’s positioning from a fragmented compliance and maintenance story to Compliance-Led Vendor Management.
Built the messaging architecture around the full vendor lifecycle: sourcing, compliance, contracting, bidding, work management, and renewal.
Aligned website, sales messaging, campaigns, events, and product storytelling around a more cohesive market narrative.
Built the Demand Generation & ABM Engine
Developed an integrated demand model across inbound, paid media, enterprise ABM, events, executive gifting, partnerships, and Sales activation.
Introduced tiered 1:1, 1:few, and 1:many account-based motions based on account value, engagement, and opportunity potential.
Connected campaign and event strategy more directly to target accounts, opportunity creation, and pipeline progression.
Built Attribution & Executive Reporting
Established the reporting framework for marketing-sourced pipeline, influenced pipeline, closed-won contribution, funnel performance, and channel effectiveness.
Improved HubSpot lifecycle definitions, lead routing, source integrity, Sales handoff, and campaign measurement to strengthen revenue visibility.
Built executive and board-level reporting used to evaluate performance, forecast contribution, and guide investment decisions.
Reframed Events as a Revenue Channel
Moved event strategy beyond booth traffic and badge scans toward account penetration, executive engagement, meetings, pipeline, and longer-term influence.
Built coordinated pre-event, onsite, and post-event motions across paid media, gifting, account targeting, Sales outreach, and follow-up.
Prioritized event investment based on ICP concentration, strategic account presence, and expected revenue impact.
Built Partner-Led GTM Motions
Developed co-marketing and partner strategies with PropTech and adjacent solution providers to expand reach into shared ICPs.
Created joint webinars, campaigns, account targeting, and thought leadership around complementary market problems.
Used partnership strategy to extend credibility and create additional routes into strategic accounts.
Built AI-Enabled Operating Infrastructure
Created an internal AI Company Brain to make positioning, competitive intelligence, ICP knowledge, and company processes more accessible across teams.
Developed reusable AI skills and workflows for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to reduce repetitive work and improve consistency.
Treated AI as operational infrastructure rather than a standalone tool, with the goal of increasing team self-sufficiency and knowledge reuse.
